I wrote this song called Return shortly after my son Harvey was born. Features Andy Santospago on lead guitar, Jody Blackwell and my brother Jim Hayes on vocals, Booth Hardy on drums and Rob Pevitts on bass. I am singing and playing guitar as well. It was recorded by Karl Mogensen and Bil Bowen at Kissy Pig in Allston, MA. Mixed by David Minehan at Woolly Mammoth in Waltham, MA.

The Vinyl Skyway shot this video in San Francisco in April of 2007 with Director Lensci Angel. The song is called “Deadly” from the band’s sophomore release From Telegraph Hill.
Track 3 from Return of the Dead Surfer entitled “Golden Lights”.
The second track on the new Vinyl Skyway album Return of the Dead Surfer.
This is track one from our new album entitled “Return of the Dead Surfer”. It’s currently available for free on band camp. I’ll be uploading a song a day for the next two weeks. Enjoy!
This video was taken soon after my grandmother Sally McGee’s 100th birthday. It was the first time she had met my son Harvey (named after my grandfather Harvey McGee). Nana passed away today. She was 103. My Mother was named after her. She was an old soul, smart, cutting, and at times a huge pain in the arse. I loved her so much. She was always good to us. I am happy for the memories I have, and I wish I could have been by her side when she left this earth. I am happy for this day because the pain she has gone through the last many years has ended. I don’t know what that “better place” is, but I do know that Nana’s spirit lives on in all of us.
